PTO Meeting 01/14/09 * Opening Prayer lead by Mrs. Broulliard * Principal's Notes * Mrs. Broulliard made an announcement that the tuition will be going up $100 per year, per child this year. Our enrollment is at 222 and there have been no cut backs to the curriculum thus far. We need the enrollment to stay where it is or Mrs. Broulliard may have to pull from different areas such as the Golf tournament and or Silent Auction. Our heating costs alone are $7,000 a month (in gas) in the winter. * Treasurer's Report- Genie Marino reported that there is $5,664.11 in the PTO account. * The Candy Drive is coming up and Deb Tolson has volunteered to chair this committee. Info will be coming home and it will be one case per family as usual. * Kathy Grenier spoke about the Booster Club and how families with children in any TCA sports (basketball, soccer, cheering, baseball) should be involved in the Booster Club, they need help. This is a big year for TCA sports because we are hosting the 395 Tournament. The Cheering tournament will be March 7th and the Basketball will be March 13,14,15 at Nichols College. The Booster club needs parents to sell items at the tournaments. More info will be coming home and the next Booster Club meeting will be Jan27th at 6:30pm. Please attend! * Catholic Schools week kicks off Sunday Jan. 25th with mass at St Mary's Church at 10am followed by our open house (our kids should be in uniform). Kathy Grenier is chairing this event and is need of volunteers for baking, set-up and breakdown. Student council will be giving tours. Monday is Student/Teacher appreciation. Tuesday is Winter Games in the gym. Wednesday is Rehearsal for the Talent Show Thursday is the Talent Show starting at 12:30. Friday is DEAR (drop everything and read) day Saturday is the Winter Carnival. There is our Chili contest, bouncy house, wheel of wow, games, pie throwing and lots of fun. * Sherri Hostage spoke about the Silent Auction, which is coming soon on April 4th. There is an advertising brochure for that evening which is a great place to advertise your business to everyone in attendance. Please contact Sherri for more info. Please start sending in donations to be auctioned off that evening. * Mrs. Broulliard gave a St. Mary's Ministry Center update. She Thanked everyone who made a pledge and reported that to date there has been over $800,000 raised toward the 1 million dollar goal, with $25,000 being pledged by Trinity families. * Maura Power spoke about two items, first that there will be a Girl Power series being offered for girls in 5th-8th grade in the library after school starting Jan21st and second that there will be a Jump-rope-athon for the school in Feb with more info coming home.
